Iowa-Based YSF Background Checks

Every HEAD COACH , ASSISTANT COACH, and COORDINATOR must submit a background check before the season begins!

This Site is for Towns/Communities affiliated with the Youth Sports Foundation (Home Office in Muscatine, Iowa)

Background checks are required every year by all head coaches, assistant coaches, and coordinators for YSF. The checks are FREE to our volunteers. Please click the link below to complete this requirement.

Roster Templates

Roster Template Download Instructions (File download at bottom of section)

  • You will be redirected to a Dropbox file, it will ask you to create an account – you do not need to create an account, select the “No thanks, continue to view” option as shown below:
  • Now that you’re on the Dropbox page, select the download option in the upper right of the screen as shown below:
  • Select the direct download option, depending on whether you are using a Google or Microsoft browser the download will appear in different locations, both shown below.
  • Google – once downloaded, select the file in the bottom left of the screen and it will open automatically.
  • Microsoft – Select the run option at the bottom of your screen, the file will automatically open after download.
  • Now, fill out the file with the appropriate information and email it to jkerr.yfs@gmail.com. Please include town name in the subject of the email.
  • If you do not have access to Microsoft Excel please send in your rosters in a format available to you, if you must hand write your roster please remember that it must be legible.

USA Football – Coach Certifications and Promo Codes

Youth Coach Certification

New this year, certifications will be flag and tackle specific. Coaches completing the certification for the first time will complete our Level 1 flag or tackle certification, while returning coaches will be automatically assigned to take the Level 2 flag or tackle recertification. Coaches can access the certification by following the steps below or by referencing the attached instructions.

  • Click “Learn More” underneath Flag or Tackle Certification
  • Click on “Get Certified”
  • Click “Continue to Payment”
  • Type in promo code:
    • Flag Promo Code: YSFFLAG25
    • Tackle Promo Code: YSFTACKLE25
  • Click “Update Price”
  • Click “Sign Up For Course!”
  • Start Certification

Membership

Before starting their certification, coaches should consider becoming a USA Football Coach Membership. This includes both the Tackle and Flag Certification, Youth Tackling & Contact System, full access to USA Football Community, monthly coaches notes, and more. The cost to become a Coach Member is $40, but will be reduced to $25 when using this promo code: YSFCM23
  • Coaches will have the option to use either the tackle/flag promo code, or the membership code, but not both. These codes will remove the full $15 off of the selected Certification or $15 off of the Coach Membership.
