Youth Sports Foundation provides kids the opportunity to participate in flag or tackle football in communities all across Iowa. The program will teach players the fundamentals to create safe habits as well as integrate some varsity level plays. Teams are given the opportunity to travel, play, and meet other kids in surrounding communities.

The Youth Sports Foundation puts rules and policies into place for all youth sports programs with the safety of everyone involved in mind.

Tackle Football
The Program
SEASON: AUGUST-OCTOBER
GRADE GROUPING: 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th & 5th/6th
Players learn the fundamentals of the game of football. In some communities this may be participants’ first chance at tackle football, and in others they may have been playing for a few years.
The program will teach players the fundamentals to create safe habits as well as integrate some varsity level plays. Teams are given the opportunity to travel, play, and meet other kids in surrounding communities.

Flag Football
The Program
In 2013 Youth Sports Foundation introduced their flag football program powered by USA Football NFL Flag, to better suit our towns that prefer flag over tackle for their young players.
The program is an introduction to the fundamentals of football for players in grades 1st-4th. The 1st and 2nd grade program is “home-based”, while the 3rd and 4th grade program can be a “travel league” or “home-based”.

- Reversible game/practice jersey
- Softshell helment
- Footballs
- Flags and belts
- Mouth guards
7 v 7 Passing League
3rd-8th Grade 7 v 7 Passing League
Practice can start May 17th
Games: Tuesday, June 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th
2 Games per date
Liability Insurance provided/Coaches Background Checks
Players keep Helmet, jersey, shorts
Cost $85
We will also offer 5 v 5 for 8-man communities
High School 7 v7 Passing League
Practice Can Start May 17th
Games: Sunday, June 6th, 13th, 27th, July 11th, 18th
2 games per date
Liability Insurance provided/Coaches Background Checks
Players keep helmet, (2) jerseys, shorts
Cost $130
